Kate jakubovic, licensed professional counselor

Over my time in practice, I have come to learn that much of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors stem from parental figures and relationships, childhood experiences, significant life events, as well as responses to the here and now. My goal is to work collaboratively with you, to support you, and to assist you in attending to what you feel is important through the cultivation of a strength-based, empathetic, and warm environment.

Educationally, I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling with additional graduate coursework in psychology and industrial-organizational psychology. Ongoing continuing education has provided me with refined specialty areas. My prior working experience exposed me to nearly all levels of care, including private practice, outpatient, community-based, correctional, and in-patient.

I am fully certified in EMDR Therapy, Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and TF-CBT. I am also trained in Parts/Ego States work. I provide evening and weekend sessions via Telehealth. In addition, I facilitate clinical supervision for pre-licensed counselors and am an EMDR Consultant-in-Training.

I offer you the opportunity to explore relationship dynamics, behavioral patterns, and life circumstances which may have left you feeling as though you have an unhealed wound. My top priority is to provide a safe environment to establish trust and to process that which does not feel safe otherwise.
